Apart from the fact that it's easy to get shat on or robbed or killed, yes. Yes indeed.

I love how shat on was the first thing in this list.
but this can be said for any convertible.

Having driven something similar for a while; no it's not. Seriously.
After a few weeks the novelty wears off and you realize you have all the vulnerability and invisibility of a bike and none of the maneuverability. At which point you start to spend all your trips being totally paranoid about the number of morons and assholes on the road, and it stops being fun.
You do get let out of side streets a lot though.
Best car ever for deserted windy country lanes.

I remember that, it was a great article. He does open by describing it as a "terrifying, amazing" ride though: I'm just saying amazing wears off, terrifying doesn't.
YMMV though, depends on individual tolerance for risk. I won't ride my push bike in city traffic, either....

My car is so far past the point in which I'd need to care about it this much, so I always drive balls-out in the city. It's so much fun. It would only be more fun in a 3 Wheeler.

Actually the best city car I ever owned was an ancient Renault 4 which had spent 10 years of its life as a postal delivery van in London. It only had 1 straight panel and that wasn't the roof.
All the "slow car fast" fun only a French snail can bring you, plus EVERYONE got out of my way because they could see I didn't give a shit.
